Learnable is a website that provides users with a platform to share their knowledge or gain knowledge presented by others. The system works by allow users to create and post their own online seminar or class. The user creates a video, sharing information, instructions and anything else they would like to give to the Learnable community. Other users can search or explore available courses. Each course page shows the user the current price, how many lessons are included, how long they can access the content and how many video tutorials are also supplied as well as any other items that come with the course. The video page provides a short bio of the teacher and a synopsis or overview of the course. The user can also find each lesson broken out into steps, see who the course is intended for and learn about any prerequisites that might be needed to take the course.

Learnable users a soft blue and grey color scheme that gently welcomes new users. The course page includes a short description of the course at the center with the price and content details listed along the right hand side, above the teacher bio. Scrolling down the page, the user can also read through a list of prerequisites, who the course is intended for and a breakdown of each lesson.
A new user can join the Learnable community by clicking the white “Sign Up” link in the upper, right hand corner of the page. The short registration form is presented on the following page and asks for a full name, username, email address and password. A check box at the very bottom of the form is automatically selected to sign the user up for Learnable email updates. This must be manually de-selected to opt out of email notifications.
Learnable does not charge users a subscription fee or other cost for signing up and maintaining an account. The user will have to pay for access to the courses they decide to take. The average cost seems to come in around $25 to $30 per course, and usually includes around a year of access and numerous lessons and video tutorials. Teachers are also charged a percentage of their enrollment earnings. There is no cost for offering the course; the amount is deducted from any enrollment fees that are paid by students taking the course. Teachers who opt out of allowing students to enroll via channel partners split their enrollment earnings 50/50 with Learnable.
